Thank-You's to Phantom Fruballers!

This may seem a silly thread to start, but I thought the idea behind it was worthwhile.

It means a lot when someone thinks kindly enough of one of your posts to 'frubal' you (to give you frubals by clicking on the little 'frubals' button near the top right of their post). Sometimes, this person may wish to remain anonymous, so they won't 'sign' the frubal. (Most of mine, for example, I try to sign '~Feathers'.) Other times, they might be a newer person and might not know that when one sends frubals, the other person doesn't know who they're coming from.

In any case, I thought it might be a good idea to establish a thread to thank these people! Have a phantom fruballer 'struck' you, lately? Tell 'em why you appreciate it!

To begin with, I especially thank the kind person who gave me frubals a little while ago. They commented on something I try hard to do, and that really gave my feelings a big boost, exactly when I was needing it.

I have wonderd if somtimes they are worried about being associated with the the idea they are fruballing. But more likely thy plain forget to sign. but luckily unlike a cheque it wont bounce..

I have been working hard for frubals. I'm trying to get to 10,000 by my 6 mo anniversary. I have had quite a few Phantom Fruballers.
THANK YOU

Many times I will leave little notes or letters of inspiration on my friends cars, when they don't expect it. I never put my name on them. It's so fun to listen to them go on and on about how this letter showed up from no where, saying exactly what they needed to hear. The mystery behind it is intoxicating to them. I get to enjoy the happiness I gave them without making them feel any obligation towards me. It's fun to be anonymous, here on the forums, I still feel anonymous, I guess because we don't use our real names. So when I sign the frubals, I'm still acting as an Angel and not as myself. My e-mail signature is,:162:

Thank you to all the Fruballers, named and anonymous!:clap

I fully respect the wishes of those who wish to remain anonymous, but I think it's nice to see who handed out the Frubals...particularly when it's someone who maybe disagreed with me but recognized I was presenting a different opinion without ridiculing. Early on in my posting here, I received a such a comment, and I have tried to continue 'earning' it.

I skimmed over the Frubals I've given, and all but a few have the --CX at the end, so people may not be saying 'Who was that masked Fruballer?':p I'm not looking for fame, fortune, or glory, I just want the recipient to be able to follow up with me if there are any questions.

EnhancedSpirit, that's very kind of you to bring a smile to people's faces.:)

( hope you don't mind my copying your quote Captain X)

I must admit, I always tell people I have fruballed who I am (except in very rare cases when I go to the enter button too early) - I suppose that is because personally, I prefer to know who has fruballed me; I sit up for hours, worrying about the annonymous ones..........
Joking:D , but I must admit, I would rather know where they came from.:)

Very good point about people leaving some unsigned since they're respecting the way you made your point, or your post itself, but happen to be debating you in that particular thread. (I love those people who realize that just because you're not agreeing with them doesn't make your post just as frubal-worthy.)

ES, let's see if we can get you a little closer to that goal! :D

I usually just frubal anon because I'm lazy. : D

.. Er, I mean, because I don't want credit or anything. That's a better reason.

I usually give frubals anon. The main reason is I've moved onto another thread by the time frubal screen loads. I do try to remember to sign though, I just usually don't.

I started signing my frudals , for awhile , but decided agaisnt it for several reasons . For one thing , I found that people appear to want to frudal you back , and that isn't why I frudaled . :) They become like Christmas cards , where this person frudal , so I have to frudal them this year ... ;)

No, I was once informed that being lazy was a bad thing, but it turns out that it was just my mom's feeling about my dad. :biglaugh:

Laziness is the mother of invention

Thank you for the frubals you know I'll catch you later. When I've spread some Karma around.

And Kree, you make a good point with the anon.

Well that rules you out as my phantom fruballer of the other day...not that I thought it was you anyway. I was pretty sure you always signed them. ;)

I've narrowed it down to two possible people, but haven't caught either of them online yet to ask. I'm a little puzzled as to why this person was so generous with their frubals, but since they seem to want to remain anonymous, and I'm not one to knock back frubals, I'll just say "Sanx". :p

LOL!

I'm so lazy too. :p

FeathersinHair, would you mind telling I at this thread or by PM'ing I what that particular person said.

Oh, and to most everyone else on this board, you're welcome. ;) And I fruballed you guys because you earned it, by sharing wisdom, education, or just made Iman laugh, whatever the reason you deserve every one of those frubals you have. :)

P.S. I've only signed one of I frubals, mostly because I'm forgetful. :bonk:

I'm so glad you thought to post this, Feathers. I love getting frubals (who doesn't?)! But it's especially nice to know who sent them your way. I suspect that most of the phantom ones come from newbies who havent' yet learned all of the tricks of the trade. I think it's nice to always include your signature!

Very true, Kat! (Although I respect the wishes of those who wish to remain anonymous, too... even if it means I'm curious, hehehee!)

I have been wondering and asking the same thing. Why don't we all go to one of her old posts and frubal the heck out of her with an "i miss you note", so she comes back to a gadgillion frubals, I think that would be a good way to show her we miss her.

Oh, I love that idea. Frubals away! :woohoo:

Who is Prima?

She seems like a very nice person, by the way you all speak of her. I regret that I came too late to reason with her. I hope she comes back so I have a chance to speak with her. :)
