I just realized this today! :bonk:

Anyway, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, how do you do so? Is it a family holiday for you? Do you celebrate with your church or religious group in any way? And the all important question (j/k), what is your favorite Thanksgiving food? :p

Normally it's just me and my family. The best thing to eat is my mom's mashed potatos mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :jiggy:

I spend it with my family...my dad's side one year, next year my mom's. I like eating and drinking wine, then passing out in front of the fire...

I have come to celibrate it alone (by choice). I enjoy the quiet contemplation of the past year, and use the time to look forward. I use Thanksgiving as my day of atonement. I always find that there is much for me to be thankful for. As for the food it is the left overs. I cook a turkey anyway just to have them. (well actually the entire meal!)

It's a new family for me. So far, it has been a gathering of family and a traditional (their tradition - not the New England tradition) meal. Much love and fine food.

This year, my wife and I are taking the in-laws to Las Vegas to party and see some shows. I no longer eat meat, so I don't know what to substitute the turkey with...maybe tofu, who knows?

I work all Holidays. I will be cooking for about 8-12 people. I work in a group home. I love working on Holidays because they have no families and I consider them my family and visa versa. I go to my family before I go to work, so I get two dinners...Too much food...:bonk: Two families...two dinners...what more can I ask for...:)

I just say Thanks

I usually spend 1/2 a day with my training partner (in martial arts) who is a chef by trade and his wife. They throw a dinner party every year. I also spend a good part of the day with my martial arts teacher at his home. I have those two things and now have to factor in a 3rd visit to my gf parent's house. This will be my first thanksgiving with them.

Normally it's a big feast with the family... good times for all.

This year (because I'm in Japan, away from family) some friends and I are going to a nearby mexican restaurant. We figure mexican food is about as close as we can get to 'pilgrim' thanksgiving food. (No racisim intended, it's honestly the closest thing we can think of)

Oh, mexican food, as well as getting very, very drunk...
