The title says it all.
To be insulted, abused & invoked while away was particularlyl touching.

You left?! Where did'ya go?
First, I attended Coolspring Power Museum June show in Coolspring PA.
I ran a 6" Rider Ericsson twin cylinder hot air engine I brought for the show.
I also ran a 35 HP Backus gas engine (about 4000 cu in, 10,000# weight)
which I have on loan there.

Then I picked up & delivered various machines across NJ & MA.
One is an 1884 B&S #1 horizontal milling machine I'm taking to the Ford
Piquette Ave Plant for the re-creation of Henry's Model T Development Lab.

Edit:
In the video, I'm the one wearing the pineapple themed shirt.

From about 0:33 to 0:53, that part will either slip over or catch that other part at random. What's going on there?
You're watching the governor (of the "pendulum" type).
When the engine speed falls below a set value, the blade will push the square rod which opens the fuel valve.
Then the engine sucks in gas.
A second or two later, the compressed air & gas mixture will be ignited.
Then you hear a "CHPUSHZ!" sound from the exhaust.

Later in the video, you see the low tension ignitor on top, actuated by another pushrod.
This is the only known Backus with an ignitor (water cooled too!).
