Thats the hard bit done

Hi to all, this will just be short and sweet as its never easy or atleast to me anyway to write long tracts about myself.

I am a Christian from England, which does not have to mean I love crumpets, tea and Cricket but in my case it does:)
Used to be in the Royal Navy (HMS Gloucester, HMS Ocean) but now I am a land loving Gardener for a living.
Love Nature, Science, History, Film, Music, closet Trekky and I am a confirmed petrol head loving anything with an engine in it, Socialist in my politics .................and that was enough of that blather,

Look forward to having some fun and constructive conversations/debates with you all and I am happy to chew the fat on most topics.

Hope life finds you all well and happy,

Steve

Thanks, What did you think of the new Star Trek movie?, I went to see it fearing the worst but have to say I came away thinking it was as damn near perfect as they could have got.

Agreed, it was a good movie...I hope they make more with those actors...the guy that played Scottie...AWESOME!!!

Welcome, Neo Welsh.
Certainly glad to hear you're a proper, bullet-headed, Anglo-Saxon. Your username led me, at first, to suspect you were one of....them!:sarcastic

Nope nothing nearly as exotic lol, though in truth I am only two generations on both sides of my family from being Irish but I guess being British is never straight forward.

Welcome Aboard Steve! :) Hope you enjoy the forum! Remember not to take anything too personally. Debates can get pretty rough! ;)

Welcome! I agree the new Star Trek movie was great - so happy to hear another is on the way!!

Are you CoE?

I attend a Methodist Church but I am pretty non-denominational, its just the closest church to where I live and I like the worship there, to me all Christians are brothers and sisters, one very large family, I just wish all our denominational leaders could compute that, though at the same time it can have benefits, I look in awe at what the Pentecostals are achieving in Africa at the moment.
