But to get justice you must get power first?Since I believe there are people who are thirsty for justice out there, I believe there have been politicians who have chosen that pathway just to ensure people justice and welfare.
Justice is wanting every citizen to be happy.

But they still have executive powers that are separate to any legislative powers they may haveIn parliamentarian systems the Prime Minister does not really have a "power" on his own. He/she always needs the Parliament to pass laws.

Not to mention lucrative book deals and paid speaking engagements.Money, money, money. In the U. S. someone will spend millions of dollars to get elected to a position that might pay $100,000 a year. Why? Because they can get much more than the $100,000 from kickbacks and payoffs.
