Correct! Francis Collins for one... top scientist. If you take all the scientifici world, it is nearly half (from a selective survey) that believe in God.

Good thing that's not the scientific world.

At first read, I thought you were being dishonest.

But it's the scientifici world.

Sources, provide sources for this.

Paul's full name was Saulus Bigus Dickus.

This means that his father was a slave of the distinguished Roman citizen Maximus Bigus Dickus, steward of the Roman treasury. When Maximus educated Saulus in philosophy and religion, and eventually put him on the payroll at the behest of his boy lover Patroclus, but evidently the Emperor didn't know, which is why evidence is so hard to find.

There's a difference between being cool and thinking that you're cool. The two qualities are very rarely seen together.

Depends what we mean by "cool".
If it means calm, fearless, unflappable, goodhumoured, then yeah, I'm supercool just as all true Christians are..:)

"..as a Christian, praise God that you bear that name..
..that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured" (1 Peter 4:16, Col 4:12)

This conversation is quickly becoming irritating.

Sooo...
Paul wasn't considered to be the anti-christ by the first Xtians then?

At first they undoubtedly regarded him as an antichrist when he was a bounty hunter rounding up Christians for trial and punishment but when he turned over a new leaf he gave up all that nasty stuff, and the vast majority of Christians then regarded him as an okay guy..:)

Just wondering, because, apparently, we're now discussing how cool everyone is or is not, indicating that the whole Paul thing has been settled. :bonk:

OK I'm reading in between the lines again. Saul was a Jew who was also a Roman citizen. He was thought to be a Sanhedrin also who's duty it was to stop the spread of the new word that was from the Messiah. Saul a Roman citizen placed high up in the Jewish hierarchy stopping the spread of the rebellious new word among Jews that were being ruled by the Roman Empire. Most of this you can find on Wikipedia.

All that is common knowledge. So it's not really much of a leap to assume he was on the Roman payroll.

So describe this Roman payroll.

1) Where is Paul on the pay scale? That is, how is he situated with everyone else on the scale? Is he at the top, bottom, middle?

2) How many people were on the Roman payroll?

3) How much was Paul paid? What was the currency? (money, land, women, slaves?)
