The Apostles

Could you maybe summarize the video? I can't get the audio and am really interested in what the movie is about. Thanks.

It basically talks about the Apostles in both in a spiritual and factual sense; as well as their impact on Christianity today. It also challenges some of the things people claim about the Apostles.

Now that's where I'm really interested. What are the things it questions and what does it imply is the real picture?

It questions some of the Apostles roles; I'll just list them:

1) Peter, is he really buried in Rome? If not, would this effect the Roman Catholic Church's power? According to the documentary, he is probably not buried in Rome, but actually Jerusalem.

2) Jesus's brothers (ie James) are not mentioned a whole lot (even though they headed the church originally), this is perhaps because they were "too Jewish"

3) Thomas, he might of actually gone to India (there is some strong evidence for this)

4) Females in the early church might of had a larger role

5) Paul and his impact on Christianity

6) Judas, was he truly an evil apostle? The document seems to point out that he wasn't such a bad person perhaps

7) THe Apostles in the Bible

There is more detail and other things in the videos themselves, when you get a chance view them :); I would also recommend Robert Beckford's other documentaries, which pertain to similar topics.
