No, that is merely trying to help a country that has been invaded. Engaging in war would take the involvement of US troops.

No, you still do not seem to understand the concept of context. By the common definition we are not engaging in warfare by helping them. That would involve the use of troops. But once you loosen the definition then Trump regularly "engaged in warfare" too. This article covers both the standard and expanded concepts:

Troops don't have to participate in a violent act to be considered "on the ground". They need only be present.

Not on his own. And not unless he either has a sudden health crisis or falls down the stairs of Air Force One (accidently, of course).
Lots of dems think it's already too late in the game to suddenly replace him, so they support him. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him stay in the race, continue showing us entertaining gaffes and missteps which make his supporters gasp, and the dems divided against each other about whether he should stay or go.
From this point, the longer he stays in before dropping out, the harder it will be for the dems to win in November.
Maybe he'll drop out in October as an "October Surprise".
