The Clockmaker

God is sometimes referred to "The Clockmaker" .. Being that everything that is made has a maker.

But I can look at a clock, I can study the clock, I can even take the clock apart, but I still know nothing about the clockmaker. Whether he is good or bad, tall or short, real or not.

How can we know anything about our clockmaker when we is nowhere to be found?

Thats a good point, I think that brings about the idea of god creating everything and then just leaving it be. Not doing anything in it. But then again, if god did do that, how would we know if god did it or not?

Isn't that the premise of Deism?
