What kind of contemporary Christian music do you like ???

Post your favorite artists, along with the titles of your favorite songs, and lyrics that are meaningful to you.

Are there any contemporary Christian radio stations in your area ???

www.klove.com seems to be the most widespread Christian radio station.

I love KLOVE. My daughter and I jam out to KLOVE while in the car.

This is one of my favorite Christian songs right now.

"Take All of Me" by Rebecca St. James

This actually isn't aired on the radio but it's on her newest album which is incredible.

Lyrics:
And I love You
All of my hope is in You
Jesus Christ, take my life
Take all of me, yeah
All of me

You broke the night like the sun
Healed my heart with Your great love
And any trouble I couldn’t bear
You lifted me upon Your shoulders
Love that’s stronger
Love that covers sin
And takes the weight of the world

You stand on mountain tops with me
With You I walk through the valleys
You gave Your only Son for me
Your grace is all I rely on

Love that’s stronger
Love that covers sin
And takes the weight of the world

And I love You so
And I give up my heart to say
I need You so
My everything, O Lord
I love You so

www.klove.com broadcasts nationwide from Las Vegas, Nevada, and seems to cover most of the United States.

Here is one other station that broadcasts nationwide, from California. www.air1.com
Here is a link to the cities that offer Air 1. www.air1.com/music/stations/

www.ksbj.com broadcasts out of Houston, Texas, but does not go nationwide. They are the best online contemporary Christian music station, in my opinion. For a more directlink go to www.godlistens.com

www.JCTV.com is a good website that offers contemporary Christian music videos.
You can also go to www.streamingfaith.com and click on JCTV.

We can't be the only Christians who actually listen to Christian music.
Voice Of Truth By Casting Crowns
Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name
And they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. "Boy, you'll never win!"
"You'll never win!"

Chorus:
But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor

Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name
And he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again. "Boy you'll never win!"
"You'll never win!"

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them lookin' down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

You hit on my favorites too.

Switchfoot, "The Beautiful Letdown" and "More Than Fine" are two of my favorite songs.

DC Talk, "Just Between You and Me" and "I Wish We Had All Been Ready'" are two good songs.

Newsboys, "You Are My King (Amazing Love)", "In Christ Alone" (Their version of this song rocks), "Believe" (I really like this song from their older stuff) and "Reality" (I love this song).

I heard them in an outdoor concert while managing a pizza booth, right behind the bleachers, of the outdoor stadium, at the Utah State Fair Grounds. That concert was so loud and clear that I could here every word they were singing from the booth I was in. The spirit from that concert was overwhelming. They pulled the biggest crowd, of the 10 days of concerts I heard, while working at this booth. We sold the most pizzas that night too. There is no better "live" Christian group. They sound amazing live. They are very professional and put on a good show. The CD's they put out are almost as good as their live concerts.

There's one artist in Sweden who sometimes sings things that are perceived as "Christian". She's good enough to have been able to pursue her career without the Xian stamp.

Xians just might have their own preferred artists, but I'm blissfully ignorant of them. I know of no Xian radio or TV channels here.

Oh, wait... it was Rebecca St. James' song entitled, "God Help Me", that I liked so much, Dawny. The one from her new CD, "If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something God", that you had mentioned. Very professional and just as well done as any secular song. I think she does her best work when she is singing alternative Christian rock. This song seems to fall into that type of catagory. This is one of her best songs, that I have heard her sing, so far, "God Help Me". Thanks Dawny.:)

 Cool stuff !!!

Have you ever heard of Rory and Wendy Alec ??? They started a Christian broadcasting station based in Europe. They are really cool. They now air an hour long Christian program in the U.S., which started just a few months ago.

www.RoryandWendy.com or www.god.tv

A direct link to watch their show online is: http://www.god.tv/WatchOnline/index.asp

www.tbn.org is also available worldwide too, and is based out of California. You should be able to get TBN in Sweden, but you'll have to go to their website and find out how.

www.streamingfaith.com is a good link to watch Christian television.

Another really talented female Christian music artist is Nichole Nordeman. She too did a song on the Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack.

I have her "Brave" album and it's AWESOME. The songs "What if" and "Brave" are worth checking out.

And I almost forgot...Todd Agnew! He's WONDERFUL. "Grace Like Rain" is one of my favorite songs.

Scuba Pete

Le plongeur avec attitude...

BTW, you can listen to MY fav station at www.ZRadio.com. They are truly awesome!
Thanks for the link.

Another band that I'm not sure if I mentioned or not is Casting Pearls. It's more alternative Christian and it's awesome.

There's this song called "Focus" that is totally wonderful. Their debut album is fantastic.

Thanks for the song suggestions Dawny, I will check those songs out. I like Nichole Nordeman. She did a song with FFH called "Shine Your Light", that's about all that I have downloaded of hers, and "This Mystery". I will also check out Casting Pearls. I can't even think of a song that they sing, but I am sure I will know one of their songs when I hear it. I will check them out too.

Thanks Net Doc for the radio link. I was just listening to it. I get bored with just K-love, so I love listening to any Chrristian music radio stations I can find. That sounded like a good one. When I think of Zoe Girl I think of the song "You Get Me". That's a great song. Thanks for reminding me of them. I will have to add some of their songs to my digital collection.
