The contributions of the sciences to Religion

I never mentioned once that I was a materialist. Furthermore, I never said telepathic doesn't exist (nor did I say it does either). What I am saying is your rationale to conclude that it does exist is flawed (thinking of people who call you moments later), because you rule out all other possibilities. Your problem is you jump to conclusions to easily, both about observed phenomena and about the people you speak to.
But you are just confirming your confirmation bias when you say such things...you do not know what I know about the reality of telepathy.. That you do not understand is understandable to me...

Wow, that is stonewall prejudice. Of what use is information against a stonewall?
You claimed that you could name a string of parapsychological scientists, and yet you refuse to name a single one of them...hence, you are stonewalling.

Stonewall is another word being "evasive", and that's exactly what you are doing - stonewalling.

Your hypocrisy never cease to amaze me.

I'm not making claims on what you do and don't know. I'm claiming that your process of arriving at conclusions is flawed.

You are not aware of the scientific method, apparently.
Where did I say anything about orthodox science in all of this? Science knows there is zpe, but not a great deal more, so they are not yet able to understand what such a medium plays in the life of sentient beings...

I know that it is merely a debated value. Any agency you attribute to it is laughable at this stage of our understanding of it.
But zpe is omnipresent and has EM radiation at frequencies beyond present technological reception (as in radio EM radio frequency type detection)...there is no dispute about that....

Aether aks zpe...
Sorry, but ZPE has nothing to do with aether, because aether has being debunked to nothing more than a myth and pseudoscience. Aether is nothing more than pseudoscientific alchemy and 19th century farcical crap.

I have never seen any scientific article or textbook that focused on the topic of zero-point energy, ever mention "aether".

Are you sure that you are living in the right century, Ben?

No..there never was a debunking of the metaphysical aether...the MM experiment presumed aether to be like a wind...as like the sea in which the earth was passing through like a ship... But it is not....the Earth is like a piece of wood flowing with the current of a stream,,,there is not relative movement between them... Iow, the MM experiment was a orthodox strawman one in which the aether interpretation used was not in accordance with reality...

What a load of crap!

Look you are entitled to your belief, but nothing in ZPE topic ever mentioned this imaginary and nonexistent "aether".

The whole aether has been nothing more than pseudoscientific crap, and that you are trying to associate what it is still theoretical, just show how desperate you are to mix science and supernatural as one.

You might as well as bring alchemy back while you at it.

So through what medium does telepathic rapport take place?

What make you think telepathy is real? Or that I would believe in such nonsense?

Sure, telepathy, psychokinesis, etc, make great sci-fi, horror, supernatural fiction, but only the people who exploit the naïve with esp (con-artists) or those who seriously believe in them (delusionals).

Parapsychology fall under the realm of pseudoscience, not science, and that also applies to this "aether" of yours.

I don't think aether is a medium at al, because it is not real.

Read my first comment in the thread...I have explained that most people have experienced some form of telepathy....it is self evident to most people.

What would you do with the list if you got it? I can not believe anybody doubts that there are flesh and blood human beings in this field, the real question being got at is obviously their competency and qualifications. So, I ask again, what is the purpose of the list. Am I actually to believe this person wanted to do a study? No, he was just obviously making his point that parapsychologist = phony scientists!

Here is more than a couple hundred names:

In the case of a Zener Card test, results are usually higher when performed with people on mild hallucinogenics. It's not nearly enough to show telepathy, but it's interesting that people perform slightly better under such conditions.
Wait, if there is a difference that would indicate something paranormal actually. In a materialist world. the hallucinogen should have no effect on scoring results.

Accepted.

I'm just saying that results tend to be slightly better on that test when the subject has partaken of a mild hallucinogen. It's within the margin of error, nothing is proved, but in two tests, the subject will do slightly better on the test fine under the affect of a mild hallucinogen.

Perhaps under a mild hallucinogen, the subject picks up a bit more unconscious clues like LSD users notice a hollow face illusion where a sober person won't?
