Whats it like being a slave,i mean i have heard it countless times "slave to Allah" given that most of Humanity doesn't want slavery.
I can see from your post that the existence of proof is somewhat missing,as to Allah being merciful to us,have you checked out Yemen

Slavery you say ! what do u know about slavery ? we Africans know slavery more than anyone else ..
But being a slave to Man is way different than being a slave to the Creator .Being a slave to Man is oppression because we are all created equally but when i say i am a slave to Allah it means the one who is enslaved by Allah and who submits and humbles himself to him.And more to that being thankful and showing gratitude for all blessings

What's happening in Yemen , Afghanistan , Iraq , Palestine e.t.c .. its all MAN's DOING ...
There will come a time where the oppressor become the oppressed Allah is all knowing the Just the wise the judge of judges .

The problem is that we are all not understanding that we as humans came before even the mind developed to create alphabets and even write or even meditate for a path to be seen for others to follow which is called RELIGION.
If religion came after us then why we finding about books that we read.
Fine if the mind does not want to read different books, one is free to just read and follow what it likes without talking/disturbing others.
Live and Let Live!
We can all meet in hell or heaven by following / not-following our own books. Again the choice remains to talk with each other or not after meeting there as we have used different doors to enter the place.

I have read it several times. The English translations are pretty miserable reading to the point that they become quite boring. To the unbeliever, Allah comes across as a self-absorbed petty tyrant quite unworthy of being called a "god". That is, of course, if you are even remotely interested in my opinion.

Well brother i believe My book which is The Quran is Gods words ..in the Quran each word has wisdom to it .
its really good to know u actually got the chance to read and probably u read it with out pondering and understanding as i can see from your post ,But the fact that your acquiring knowledge trying to find truth is itself great..you deserve credit for that !
