I was essentially raped when I was aged 11, by an older boy. It didn't occur to me that this was what it was at the time, given that there was no 'consent' and it occurred on the spur of the moment apparently, although no doubt he planned it. Where would the evidence have been for my situation - apart from my older brother probably knowing what had happened but who failed to stop it since he was there at the time? Plenty of such examples could be found involving children, and the numbers of females who become intoxicated and who are essentially raped must be rather large too. Evidence is often just one word against another in such circumstances and the time being irrelevant, apart from a child later understanding what had happened perhaps, as in my case. I never pursued him because I didn't think it worthwhile and I had gotten over it long ago.
