The first World War was between Catholics and Protestants?

And many "Protestants" were fighting for political autonomy rather than religion.

And Protestants on the "Protestant" side also fought for prestige, territory, etc.

Or for the "Protestant" Dutch, it was just part of the 80 years war, which was an independence struggle against the Spanish.

Etc.

The History Channel makes programmes about aliens building the pyramids.

It's website is equally bad for the serious coverage of history.

And this is often poor historiography.

If you saw Hernan Cortes' conquests as a war between Spain and the Aztecs you would understand less.

Or the conquest of India by the East India company, was mostly paid for and fought by Indians in the name of a private company. Seeing it as a war between Britain and India would be equally misleading.

It was really several wars, not a war. These were fought for different reasons.

Do you consider WW1 a war of Serb nationalism because it's why it "took place"?
No I don't. And I understand your point. I am not saying you are mistaken.

I was simply stating, many sources call it a "Religious war, war over Religion, Catholicism vs Protestantism".

Or would you call it world war 4
Me personally yes, but I'll submit to the label majority of people call it in typical conversation, but in my private opinions, I would call such a war that decimates that percentage of Europe in the 21st century, I would call it World War 4 as a private personal view.

The Bible is actually the most violent piece of literature I ever read though, where God is referred to as "Lord of Armies", King David is glorified and praised for cutting off a man's head, and killing thousands, and God commands people in Scripture to commit worse thorough genocides per Capita, than I even read about in the worst nations of World War 2.

Yes, isn’t that something! Maybe you can appreciate the following:

The Creator, who wants us to love Him, didn’t hide His seemingly atrocious past actions from us. In fact, He had them recorded, Do you know of anyone who is that candid?!

Why would God do that? (It gives people like yourself fodder to berate Him.)

Jehovah had those events recorded, not just because He’s honest, but also in order that we could personally benefit… one way is by learning what behaviors He approves of, and those He doesn’t. Another way is, it teaches us that Jehovah is passionate about protecting those who worship Him, which gives us “hope.” — Romans 15:4

The Bible can have a few verses of peace, and that is fine and dandy, but the vast majority of the Bible is the Old Testament, which promotes and glorifies violence, slavery, and genocide, as well as extremely harsh political government of God that stones people to death for being accused of adultery or working on Sabbath.
A few” verses of peace? Come on, it’s loaded with them: Jeremiah 29:11; Galatians 5:22; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 9:7; Philippians 4:7; Psalm 37:11; Isaiah 54:13; Ephesians 6:15; 1 Corinthians 14:33; Isaiah 48:18; Luke 2:14; Matthew 5:24; ETC., ETC.
Plus, you are forgetting something..
Who is going to resurrect these ones back to life? Jehovah has given His son Jesus the authority over death. Jesus will give these “unrighteous” ones life again, at his Father’s appointed time. —Acts of the Apostles 24:15; John 6:44; Revelation 11:18.

The Resurrection, in God’s New World, will be a marvelous centuries-long event! No more will confusion and wicked influences exist, everyone will learn what the truth has been, and long-dead families & relationships will be re-established!

You know the Apostle John knew the Scriptures, even better than you or me, I’m sure. He knew of Jehovah’s past actions… yet he still said “God is love.” — 1 John 4:8,16.

You think he could honestly say that, because he understood Jehovah God’s ultimate purpose for mankind (which I attempted to explain above)? I think so. — Revelation 21:3-4; Revelation 22:1-2.

I wish you the best, my cousin.
