The Fourth Kind

I watched 'The Fourth Kind' Last night just before i went to sleep which wasn't the best idea. I thought the movie was excellent and scary in some parts. There are some scenes that can leave a big impression on you . Apparently this film is based on a true story in Nome (A town in Alaska) I have my doughts whether the story is true... What do you guys think to this film? Do any of you believe that Aliens come into your room and aduct you? Anyone here from Nome and know any extra information? This film certainly makes you wonder if aliens are watching us... perhaps they are just owls.

I do know that there is something behind the UFO abduction phenomena, even if it is a delusion on a mass scale. I know it because I've experienced it and know others who have. I am willing to admit it could be sleep paralysis disorder, but certain experiences tell me otherwise. There is room for doubt, but when you've actually woken up with scars, how do you explain that?

I would not be able to explain scars on inderviduals that claim to be abductees' each case i believe would be different due to the enviroment or persons experiance. Granted the main character Dr. Abigail Tyler used hypnosis for her clients. Perhaps Abigail had mental issues to face and thats where these 'Aliens' came from....? i could be wrong... Yet what about this 'actual footage' in the film ie the man in bed that begins to float? how would the directors of the film explain this or is it a fake? What can we learn from this if its actually real?!? And the voice clip of the ancient language? plus at the end of the film 'i am god...' a tad lame yet freaky hey?

Yes these ETs make all kinds of claims, and I don't believe a one. They haven't proven themselves trustworthy or benevolent by going around terrorizing people, that's for sure.

This movie gave me the creeps and I slept with the bathroom light on for weeks because I kept thinking of short, freaky looking little characters coming into my bedroom. I can't stand alien abduction movies and I don't know what posessed me to rent this stupid movie. Nothing gives me the creeps like aliens and zombies. I don't like them at all. (Shivers.)

I saw it too. I really enjoy these kind of films but I wasn't super impressed and infact kinda felt the "real" woman's acting was kinda dorky. I kept thinking, she has to be an actress and so I googled her to make sure. Then I thought , what a crappy actress, lol.
I have read that some conspiracy theorists think we are being geared up for the actual indroduction of a REAL close encounter. Like it will be officially disclosed or even that a massive world wide event will take place. Why? so that they can rally the world population around one idea and make us feel reliant on a One World Govt to "take care of us". could you imagine? Like Independence day? I'm not scurred, lol

Yeah im really sorry to bash here but that movie sucked...Sorry for those who liked it. If you are interested do some research on the stuff. The FBI investigated it and found the sources nothing even close to what they are selling you in the movie. Also, did anyone else think the "real" Dr. Abigail Tyler looked more like an alien than the supposed aliens?

If anything it was clever marketing. If the budget listed on IMDB reflects the actual costs than a $10 million dollar film earned a revenue of $45 million domestic and foreign. But I don't know how much of the interest in the film was based on the marketing of a made up true story and all the filmmakers put into that effort.

I was rather bored by the film. I remember Fire in the Sky which was based on a true claim of an alleged abduction.

The movie's actually pretty real, in that the horribly misguided practice of memory recovery through hypnosis has had a lot to do with people generating false memories of alien abduction.

Is this what you pay the FBI to do? Has crime come to an end in America now?

Well yeah. There were large amounts of disappearing people. An abnormal amount. Im not paying them to sit there and do nothing. Its not like they sent a full fledged army up there either. Probably 2-5 people to investigate.
