The history of Muslim (Islam) as rulers

So many military leaders and soldiers contain both qualities. They are both sweet and they are also fierce warriors.
Regarding being apologetic. I am certainly not that. But I understand why you would assume that about me.

But I in the long term, I hope you will see that I am not willfully ignorant of the truth.
I never said nor implied you were willfully ignorant.

Apologetics go only so far, then one should face the truth.

This is the part that I felt was implying willful ignorance.

If a person is not facing the truth; that sounds like willful ignorance.

If you read my post you should be able to discern that for yourself.

If you believe Muhammed peacefully took Mecca, then you see the truth of the situation through the eyes of an apologetic.

None of us can know the absolute truth, but we think we can and that is based upon our own prejudices. I am biased toward Muhammad PBUH because of what I was taught. Realistically, those who immigrated to America acted a lot like invaders that committed genocide, so, though I was born here and a citizen, and a veteran, I can not alter the historical record to say what I want it to.

think that the Qur'an and the Hadiths are being used by immoral people to recruit, to radicalize, and to support their own immoral pursuits. But that does not mean the Qur'an is evil or bad in any way
Have you studied the Qu'ran?

As you know - when one applies for a job or to get into a rental - they ask for references - one usually provides names of those that will speak well of the person

IF your main view has come from "being taught" - that in a sense is a flaw - because those who teach new adherents to a faith will have nothing but praise for the originator

You were not in my situation at the time.
