The history of pineapples

We Never Know

History of pineapples. People used to rent them to give the impression that they were wealthy.

"The pineapple made its way to England in the 17th century and by the 18th century, being seen with one was an instant indicator of wealth — a single pineapple could cost the equivalent of $8,000 today. In fact, the fruit was so desirable and rare that consumers often rented a pineapple for the night to show off to fellow party-goers."

In the 18th Century, Pineapples Were a Symbol of Wealth and Power

I adore pineapple juice. I love because it is sugared.
Honestly I have never bought the actual fruit, it is not that easy to find here, but I know that it is slightly sour, so I love those canned sugared slices...

This is why pineapple juice is really good as a marinade. It tenderizes the meat before you cook it.

Pineapples are not native to Hawaii, but were exploited on the Dole plantation (now the company of canned fruits and vegetables) as Hawaiian tourism.

When pineapple was put on pizza, a new kind of evil was unleashed on the world.

Yes. Indeed. When I learnt of it, I immediately sent the picture of a pineapple pizza to my best friend, typing "Have you seen what kind of atrocious things happen all over the world?".

I enjoys onions, peppers, broccoli, and pineapple. :)
My grandma is allergic to all mammal meat. I lived with her a few years. I got hooked on the mushrooms olives and pineapple tho strangely none of those things I like on any other type of food. I like it better than pepperoni and sausage on pizza. What you suggest sounds good. I'll see if she'd try pizza with that combination of toppings since it got no mammal meat next time I visit her.
