The Justice League movie

Definitely looks like the usual fabulous special effects, but sadly Marvel based movies are usually primitive on plot lines and good acting is nice but not a prerequisite. Ben Affleck as Batman? Oh, just shoot me.

This will not be a Marvel movie, @YmirGF . Do you mean DC?

I don't think I will be watching that movie in the theathers, much as I did not watch the previous ones. Zack Snyder aesthetical sense does not mesh well with superhero movies, IMO.

A movie that attempts to reconcile a half dozen superheroes, at least two of them being practically unknown quantities and a third being Snyder's take on Superman, which can charitably be described as a satire, is not at all likely to play to his strengths. That DC is making the attempt anyway is IMO a strong indication of how far its decision makers have strayed apart from the creative talent.

Including the missed opportunity that is Ben Affleck as Batman and the new take on Wonder Woman (a problematic character even under the best of circunstances) will only compound the problems. And then the plot seems to center on the attack of Darkseid's Parademons on Earth, a choice of threat that does not include a lot of opportunity for subtlety nor for characterization. I suppose that their presence can make this take on Batman look slightly less similar to Darkseid, for whatever that is worth.

Snyder will not pull it off. He is simply way too busy, way too far from his strengths, way too unchecked on his flaws.

This looks like it could be good:

I'm worried as it has had 2 directors, massive re-shoots to improve the darkness and has a massive advertisement campaign. All red flags for me. Thor Ragnarok has been in the press far less and is the earlier release. These movies don't need massive advertisement campaigns they sell themselves unless there bad.

Oh, my bad. Indeed, you and the others are correct. It is still comic book to movie garbage however.

Started watching the incredibly tedious Wonder Woman last night. Do story-lines get much worse? Graphics and stunt actions are extraordinary but everything else is borderline horrid.

But by DC standards, it's among their best work.
Remember Green Lantern?
Ugh....

All I ask of a superhero movie is that it be fun.
