The L Word

I cannot wait for Season Two to start. I am SO addicted to this show. But the question is, do you think the Arts influence society in postive and negative ways.

Audiences have become more receptive to gay characters, Chaiken said, but acknowledged the highly charged national debate about homosexuality and, especially, same-sex marriage. She believes "The L Word" may end up being a part of "the evolution of cultural attitudes."

"I hope that as the show becomes a part of the zeitgeist it plays a small role in shifting attitudes in the inevitable direction. There's going to be a time when we look back on this moment, when gay people can't get married, and say, 'I can't believe that was ever the case.' "

I'm back!
have you seen boy meets boy? lol. i thought it was hillarious.

i recently started watching queer eye. man, i feel like slob compared to them, even tho im gay. i might need some queer eye for the gay guy. seriously.

six feet under has a gay character. all of a sudden on every show, there are gay people. ??? it frightens me, kinda cliched. the same coming out problem. blah blah blah. cry me a river.

on the other hand it is inspiring, well if you know its a true story.

i aslo watched a series on gay weddings. hopefully when i get married (10 years down the road) i will get married in a traditional south indian wedding. hehe. but i doubt it. the male and female roles are played out prominently, not vague enough to be modified. sigh. ...

besides my hindu astrology said that i would get an arranged marriage... bagh! to a woman? or a guy? that freaks me out. that crazy stuff does predict it. kinda odd.......... im not a really good believer in that. sure it works, but hey, i believe i make my own destiny.

well, then theres will and grace. i dont watch it that much. then real world. haha. i love watching that. its soo fun. and pathetic and dramatic at the same time.

hehe.

I like Will and Grace . I also Like Queer as Folk. I think Justin( Randy Harrison) and Bryan (Gale Harold) are absolutely gorgeous though they are a strange couple.
