The people protesting are stopping me from seeing that film at that cinema chain. That is an imposition.Who tried to impose it on you in this thread mate? This thread is not about God. It's about a move. And that movie does not insult God. So this is an illness you are showing, just like some other people in this thread.

I don’t see how anyone could be offended by The Life of Brian, but plenty of people were.

Yes, but when they brought it to my attention I want to know what the fuss is about. You just said you hadn’t heard of it until cineworld or whoever cancelled it. Now your rights are being infringed? I know, let’s all get outraged, by a film no one was planning to watch.

The film was made by a Muslim cleric named Yasser Al Habib . I am wondering how this is bound to amount to blasphemy of any sort !
The issue could be the difference from the Sunni perspective, and the differences between Fatimah and the first Caliph Abu Bakr, and the Shia's believe her husband Ali should have been the rightful successor of Muhammad instead of Abu Bakr.
The theme could be that the abuse of religious and political authority by Abu Bakr lead to the injuries and death of Fatima, which is compared to the similar abuse of authority by ISIS (and taliban) in present times.
If so, this is a good theme that can hopefully invite more introspection and reflection, and reduce religious and political violence not just in islamic society but elsewhere too .

The only thing these Muslims do, is to exhibit their own ignorance and lack of common sense and extreme violent behavior. Totally forgetting that Islam is called "The Religion of Peace"I agree, them coming here is not the problem but they bring their culture with them and recreate the same backward culture here and imo that’s the problem.
Anything that is banned is of interest to me.
I do have the ability to weigh up which is legal and worthy of my attention. Some banned stuff can take away your freedom and get your reputation destroyed forever...

The West accepting their behavior is also ignorant and weak, and digging their own grave
That's an expression I shall be shouting at refs next season."loathsome partiality"

Not familiar with the protests and bans on productions dealing with Christianity over the years then?If it were about Jesus no-one would care.
Double standards.
Not in my country, not in my lifetime. Not familiar with the protests and bans on productions dealing with Christianity over the years then?

This is very true. The truth will stand up to examination, ridicule rejection, etc, without change, but falsehood withers under a strong light.Seems to me that their religion is so fragile that they behave this way,if it was strong it could withstand anything, cartoons Charlie Hebdo and all.
