Community service on RF? What a concept.
@sun rise, I hope I can trust you to keep a secret. There was a time when I was not the example of exceptional intelligence that I now project.....I know, I know it's really hard to believe but I'm really good at hiding my past. Okay, your turn...What miserable defect keeps you from being accepted and respected here at RF? Of course I mean that in a good way.

Oh, where to start. Perhaps it's that I have opinions, more than opinions, certainties about religion and politics. The way to being respected is to take other people's ideas, amplify them and feed them back. If only I agreed with people more, I'd be considered to be a font of wisdom. I should emulate Mullah Nasruddin:

In a Sufi story, the famous Mullah Nasrudin is to judge a case between two men who are quarrelling. After listening to the first one tell his story , the Mullah is carried away by the logic of his presentation. "You are right," he declares. The second man indignantly demands to be allowed to make his case. He, too, is so eloquent and persuasive that the Mullah declares that he is right. At this point the Mullah's wife intervenes. "How can you say that," she asks. "They can't both be right." "You’re right, too," answers Nasrudin.

Actually, you are not only accepted and respected at RF; I believe you are valued by those who witness your presence. The post you replied to, the one I offered, is pure fiction. I take no pride in my intelligence or lack of truly advanced education and I hope you enjoy your friends at RF as much as I do.

Given the thread you posted in, what you wrote is humor and my response Sufi humor.
