Yes, I did the same. And it was used to help repopulate peregrine falcons. They were almost extinct at one point due to DDT and came back with the help of the falcon sex hat:

I suppose a falcon might see a reflection from my bald head and decide to attack an an interloper but it's not happened yet.
Just be grateful you're not part of the team trying to save the Kakapo from extinction.
