Where I’m from, a semi-rural area, some people have cows on their land. Others have horses and/or goats. I miss seeing all those animals.

That’s a cute name for a pet. :)
Make sure it's a pet ........(never a woman)....I mean using the name...'Cow'

Sometimes we see cows in fields, but they make me sad(as industrial farming generally does).

There's a goat farm to the north; they are dairy goats, and well treated. I like seeing them. There's sheep and llama nearby that farm; I like to see them, too.

He was originally Yodel. My oldest son named him when he was in kindergarten. Later, my middle son decided he was Cow.

Poor cat never had a chance for a good name...

I know it's a really hard job taking care of your family......but......children are inventive and funny, often

If I ever get married, my wife might wonder if Cow is a secret pet name of mine for her. The reason she might wonder would be me getting up at 4am to—
We interrupt this program for an important announcement.
Better marry a morning person.

Anyone waking me up at 4am may find they're missing digits.

Anyone waking me up at 4am may find they're missing digits.
And teeth presumably and maybe some other valued body parts.

During my work career I reveled in the occasional 3/4 am text when a million people or some number like that could not do their online banking. After the problem was solved, usually not my problem, I easily fell back asleep. Later on the fun level diminished until now I'm with @JustGeorge about 4am awakenings.

I think waking at 4 am is just not cricket.
I much prefer 5:30 to 5:45. It's the most peaceful and definitely the best time of the day.

I don't know why this struck me as ROTF funny but it does
