Scary

Last year when brother in law was refusing to take his medication i was worried sick about whether he would commit suicide or not.
We've just spoken, "remember last year?" he asked.
What could i say? I'd aged 10 years in that few months. "Yes, i remember"
"You know, if i hadn't been hospitalised I'd have probably killed myself that week."

He's still with us, that's the biggest winner ever.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
My mentally ill brother isn't even talking to me, plus he got kicked out of his apartment so God only knows where he is now. Oh well.

I would venture that his meds aren't working.

My BIL was evicted while he was in hospital but didn't get the notice until he was back home with only 2 weeks left of the months notice. That too was a scary time. He was lucky to find a place before he was made homeless.

I'd like to get on something to help manage PTSD symptoms, but not able to do that...
I had PTSD and the rapid eye movement treatment worked really well for me and didn't require any meds. I had to go to a counselor for it though, so it wasn't cheap.

Good morning winners from a cold and wet Port Stephens. I think I'll make porridge when I get out of bed.

'not cheap' is where I struggle. No insurance, not much moola...

At least I've still got my good looks.

Oh. Wait...
There are affordable meds, at least in my location, and it has been (possibly literally) a life saver. It does not just go away, unfortunately. Take care, and work with your PCP to find you a helping hand.
