Relaxing, keeping my feet flat on the floor and listening to a Alleluia chant before taking my blood pressure is winning over stressed, agitated blood pressure readings. (Getting ready for a routine cardiologist visit in a few weeks where I'll have my BP taken as soon as I enter the exam room, in a state of some anxiety over what might be found and my feet dangling off the exam table. The latter results in too high and non-resting BP.

I hate it when our doctor does that. As soon as you enter it's on the table, BP and a good stethoscopeing before you can tell her how you feel.
She's always late so twiddling your toes in the waiting room must cause stress.
