Shoemakers still exist. On Saturday I bught hand made boots for my daughter

My brother in law has his windows cleaned once a month by a window washer.

Maybe they don't exist in your part of the world but they do on this side of the Atlantic puddle. Maybe rare but they do exist
I'm referring to non-professionals who occasionally did windows, similar to Xmas tree sellers who became vendors at Xmas, city dwellers. I've been removed from city life for over 25 years.

Where the hell are my earrings?
During my "mid-life crisis" after watching some (male) rockers with earrings, I got my ears pierced. But I bought my own. I never went in for the red sports car or a 20-something woman so I guess you can call my crisis actions pretty sedate.

One side effect: one day I looked at the earrings, did not like any of them and thought "I have nothing to wear". OMG in spades. That feeling passed quickly but after that I understood the emotion of "I have nothing to wear".

"Be strong", I whispered to my coffee.

I saw a TV 'Special' tribute to D.L. Weber with past leads,
Brightman and four 'Phantoms of the Opera' male leads, all British. It's a fantastic show.

We have 2 different DVD of phantom of the opera, I've not watched them for ages.
