Take Eraserhead.
Add rain, mud & chamberpot accidents.
Throw in a pinch of Brokeback Mountain homoeroticism but with violence.
Make some pretentious literary references.
And you get a train wreck which makes There Will Be Blood look seem uplifting.

So you're saying there won't be any Oscar nominations??? LOL
Thanks for the heads up. Too many good flicks out there to waste time with the dogs.

I'd have to be a 9 on the drunkenness scale. Why don't you watch something more wholesome and creative like sharknado or lawmower man 2 ?

No, I expect it to be widely praised & oscarworthy?
- It's shot in pretentious black & white.
- The characters' bizarre antics will allow pseudo-sophisticates to read deep meaning.
- Only 2 actors...strange bordering-on-gibberish dialogue...all darkness & drearyness...
...it just reeks of "arthouse".
- Grisly violence & homo-eroticism are most fashionable these days.
Nominating the movie for awards is great for virtue signaling.

When the desire for big profits controls creative expression, this is what you get: very uncreative, exploitive, manipulative, pseudo-expression.

Or sometimes people, including small studio and budget, just make bad movies that really suck.
