The making of a Muslim Quaker

DawudTalut

Peace be upon you.
Hi I also posted this in the comparative religion section but was wondering what my Muslim friends might think of it?

Quaker Theology

Peace be on you.
1= The Basics of the Quakers Religion, History, Practices and Beliefs

2= According to Ahmadiyya Muslims, Islam is the summit of religious evolution. It contains true and essentials of all previous truths which were taught to humanity at various stages of human voyage in time. It nourishes all aspects of human faculties. It guides individual as well as the whole society. Its commandments lift raw human capacities to moral capacities and then to high spiritual states. It contains perfect teaching about rights of God and rights of God’s creation. It tells about Living God and His Unity, Power, Knowledge, Perfection, Grandeur, Mercy, Master-hood.....It tells about self of human, and human conduct with dignity, and relation with God. "The Philosophy of Teachings of Islam" (7th book on the left hand side)

3=According to one’s humble understanding, as long as a Quaker is interacting Islam in terms of inter-faith dialogue, it is healthy practice. Islam itself gives a call to get united at one common point i.e. God and join in the international efforts of harmony and peace for all humanity.

4=On the other hand, any possible iota of thought from a Quaker to mix Islam with other Ways or religions ( a good part of them is not in original forms) to start new practices, which are beyond the teachings and model of Holy Quran and Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) are to be avoided very clearly and visibly.

5=Islam’s Holy Book (alislam.org/quran) contains exclusive promise by God for its preservation till Hereafter. Its words are preserved with various modes; e.g. printing and Huffaz (who commit it to memory. Its meanings have been preserved by local reformers (Mujjadedeen) in all centuries and by a grand reformer (subservient of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) in latter Days (Ahmadiyya Muslims believe he has come as Promised Messiah and Mahdi (a.s.) and his promised Khilafat continues the peaceful worldwide services, currently Fifth Holy Khalifah (a.t.) leads by the grace of God -- alislam.org) whose main aim is to prevail Islam over all Ways; Not by force, but with calling people with kindness back to One Living God, prayers, morals, spirituality and services.

Very good wishes.

Quran & Sunnah
Hi Stephen :)

Thank you for sharing that with us, it's interesting!
I will be interested to know how Mr. Miller carried on his life later on. Whether he was able to be part of the two "religions" or whether he sicked to one.
Muslims believe that Islam is the final religion to Mankind. A Muslim doesn't need to go and find other sources or methods of worship outside of Islam, for Islam is a way of life and it is comprehensive.
Going to the mosque and attending the Quaker meeting for worship, I believe, can't go hand in hand. May be that can work at the beginning since he was new to Islam but through time and studying and learning more about Islam, he would end up sticking to Islam, if he really understands what Islam is.

Peace
