I'm not at all sure if this the right forum to raise the matter of the missing McCann girl, Maddeliene, but it seems to be the only one that perhaps is pertinent.

I've been following the case as closely as I can, and I have so say, I'm convinced the child is not alive. I don't really buy into the abduction theory either. Which only leaves the parents in the frame. If eventually a case is brought against them, I will not be suprised at all. Any opinions ?

I started a thread on this topic. I don't think the poor little soul is alive. The whole affair is totally surreal. I find the abduction theory hard to swallow. If the parents had anything to do with it, I suspect it was an accident. Maybe they gave the children sedatives to make sure they slept whilst they partied! Perhaps Madeleine had an overdose and they panicked! Whatever the truth, hopefully there will be closure soon.

Sorry I didn't know that. I wish too for a resolution soon. As far as I'm aware, the Police are no longer interested in reported sightings, they are concentrating on the looking for the childs remains. All very sad.

The recent photo from Morocco looks remarkably like her though don't you think?

And the Portuguese police investigation has been so botched and slow of the mark that i don't consider much they say to be relevant, right now they're looking for a quick solution to the whole matter - whatever the easiest solution may be.

Do you remember the American case of Elizabeth Smart? She was found alive after 9 months; not that I am saying this is similar, but it has happened that the kidnappee has been found alive before.

The child pictured in Morocco was traced and is a Moroccan Child. It is possible she is still alive but I personally very much doubt it. The latest I've gleaned today is that the police believe the girl never left the resort. I don't know the Elizabeth Sharp case, but in Belgium, two missing girls were accidently found hidden in a secret room by a pervert who was abusing them. Later it transpired he'd murdered a number of girls.

I didn't think the photo looked like the child. Surely no one would be stupid enough to take her out and about if they had abducted her? Just supposing Madeleine had been abducted to sell to it childless couple, publicing the anomaly with her eye would surely have made her unsaleable? If you were abducting a child for that purpose it is likely you would have taken one of her younger siblings.
