The means or the goal?

What makes one a member of the LHP, or the RHP for that matter? Is it what they hope to achieve? Or is it how they go about reaching that achievement? Can one seek union with God and be LHP? Can one seek apotheosis and be RHP? (Etcetera)

The distinction is a map of the territory; a construct. Things fit onto the map based on how the map maker or map reader thinks they do. I've never been a fan of this particular dichotomy, so although I recognize aspects of my path can fall under both demarcations depending on whose map we are using and who is interpreting the map, I don't personally self-identify as either.

Since I believe both goals are the same, the difference must be in the method.

I was going to say almost similar. Not to many people wish for anything other than their own happiness. We are selfish creatures and no matter how many times a Hindu, Muslim or Christian says they do something out of the bottom of their heart it is still "their heart". Still selfishness at the end of the day.

It seems to me that the only difference between RHP and LHP is the methodology of getting what you want. Really though LHP and RHP both do nearly identical things but LHP individuals are honest about it. For example the typical Satanic concept of auto-theism is practices by everybody and especially people who subscribe to Abrahamic faiths. Hindus or Dharmic religions in general have no issues with this but most religions of the Abrahamic kind do.
Many Abrahamics believe that their god is apart from them and universally binding in nature but the god they believe in is 99% of the time a projection of themselves. Their god is merely a projection of their own understanding or lack of understanding in religious matters. Satanist and especially Luciferians know this exactly and practice it without wide acceptance but an Abrahamic will never admit to this despite the fact roughly a 100 different sects exist in their religions not including personal opinions on all matters amongst churches and then individuals. People live their lives in delusions and this is what I refer to as RHP. The RHP is the theological and philosophical delusion of reality while LHP is the honest acceptance of the way it is. Both though practice the same things so it is not even methodology where we differ. It is just cognitive capabilities and acknowledgement.

I believe that the RHP intention is ultimate inclusion into the universe and LHP intention is ultimate exclusion from the universe.

Whether those things can be done by similar means, yes and no.

Computer programming example: you can write a video game or accounting software. One has productivity in mind; the other, antiproductivity. Both source codes are made of the same basic logical arguments ("if statements", "for loops", "set equal to true").

The tactics (short term planning) are the same, but the strategy (long term planing) is not.
