The middle class won today

Is this really true??? I hope it is, because I was stressing over this hair-brained scheme that so-called "Trumpcare" was about to be. This is cause for a celebration! :D

Trump is discovering that lying and autocratic methods don't work in the real world.
Let's just hope he doesn't start a war or something to change the news cycle.

It's not really about the replacement, it's about taking a stand against the corporations. For years the ACA has been demonized for elections, etc. But in reality, this was helping a ton of people that had no options. Those people were on all sides of the aisle. The reason republicans don't want to vote is because of political reasons back in their states.
Additionally, the vote was canceled so the recorded votes couldn't be used against people who voted yes/no.
So congratulations mostly to conservatives that have scared their swampsters so much over Obamacare that they can't even vote on it.
This was all about republican voters.

Thankfully, the ACA is here to stay. Republicans don't like it because it hurts profits. The middle class has taken a victory against these greedy corporations. Good job everyone, that includes republicans who realized they don't want their healthcare taken away.

I'd say the middle class didn't win, but just got a reprieve. The ACA is not here to stay. Its death spiral will be when the Court strikes down Section 1402 reimbursements (if they even continue) without an appropriations. See this popular thread: DC District Court Rules on House's Challenge to ACA Provision The current Congress will not enact such an appropriations, and insurance companies won't be able to eat this enormous expense. So they'll all pull out from offering qualified health care insurance. Fewer people will have health insurance than had it before the ACA.

This isn't the end.

If only a similar victory could be had for building more fossil fuel infrastructure. I'm more concerned about that. :(
The fossil fuel industry is the #1 problem in America when it comes to buying up the government and corruption. I think Trump just approved the Keystone XL which will create 40 jobs. Gotta ship that canadian oil across America to the Gulf to export for profit$.

He is revealing his managerial style in all of these veiled threats to his party members and it's a wonder to me that anything he touched was ever successful...

Wait, so you think forcing insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions is a bad thing?

When you have money, you don't have to be an expert on anything. You can hire the experts in their respectable fields.

Trump has always been a silver spoon brat with narcissistic tendencies.

My mistake. I haven't heard anything about that court ruling that I can think of.
I don't know why the media outlets don't mention it--like, especially now. The members of the House certainly know about it. The Circuit court will hear it later this year, and the Supreme Court the next year presumably.

He revealed that long before the election. That's why real conservatives, from me to Romney, said the things we said.

I don't know if I'd start celebrating yet. It basically couldn't pass the House because of the Freedom Caucus. Their beef? Insurance companies would still have their jerk-level constrained and the government would still be helping out poor people.

A battle was won, but the war is far from over. This marked shift in the Conservative voter base in regards to healthcare is most fortuitous. Hopefully this momentum can swing the debate and future bills in the right direction.

While that is true, they are split between that portion of Republicans, and the other portion who is appalled at cuts to medicare and medicaid and a bill that is going to leave fewer people with health insurance. This is a time when the Left needs to elevate those more Moderate Republicans.

How has the middle class won? ACA has caused my health care cost to go up both in what I spend monthly and my deductible. Its the uninsured and high risk medical people that won. Not that the republican plan would do me any better. Neither party is doing anything for the middle class.
