The Mind is to the brain as the soul is to what

I'm assuming most people take a less physicalist approach to a soul if they believe in it, so that the body would be from the soul rather than the soul being from the body.

Perhaps the soul is not from the body, but instead from some part of the mind.

I personally think these are all connected, a loop creating itself. My view has always been more closer to the latter, even though I don't think there's an accurate way to describe it in words without limiting it to something it's beyond. But I always thought of it as the body (brain) causing the mind, the mind (unknown part) causing the soul, and the soul (a whole entity in itself, not consisting of parts) causing the body

I do not know about 'soul' but mind is to brain what a book is to the writer, the result and the cause.

There is some recent work going on regarding time and consciousness, which the writers seem to equate to soul. In these works, the claim is that there is some scientific evidence that time doesn't exist, but rather, our consciousness interprets what's going on as having time. In this model, our soul is totally detached from our bodies but somehow caught up in it, like our bodies (which don't exist in the way that we imagine they do) are vessels carrying the soul along.

It's an interesting theory. I'm not sure that I agree with it wholly, but it's worth a few minutes to read and think about.

I'll go with.....the mind

In my view the mind is composed of the physical brain; interpenetrated with the Astral and mental brains. The soul is above and beyond these three bodies; both the witness, the experiencer and the guide of it all.

The mind is just a part of the soul as the brain is a a part of the body.

Why do any have to cause the other?
As for the mind, it's the most reasonable approach to why affecting the brain has effects on the mind. There is some relation to the two, but then again it's always possible the mind causes the brain.

As for the soul, I suppose it doesn't have to. But if we are said to 'have' souls, or 'be' souls, and since we experience life circulating around the wad of flesh we call the body, doesn't that mean there's some connection between the two as well

Could the mind be a software and the (mono)soul be internet, and the illusionary individual soul is the wifi receiver of a mono-soul?

The mind is to the brain as the light is to the bulb.
The soul is to the brain as the triangle is to the hippopotamus.

... the imaginary heart.

This heart recieves the resonance of what the soul gives to you.
Both, has no body but you as a carrier and as a caretaker too.
It is out of existence, and out of any logic.

If you create room and time in this heart, you create an universe in it,
then there will be your hideout once you are gone.

Staring at your stars - while that what lives in existence is your eye
which makes you communicate with what you create but, you only a soul.
And as a non-existent god for your creatures who carrying a part of your soul.

Like we do, as we carry a soul right now.

People, unconsciously know that ... thats why they think that there must
be a god. The question isn't if there is one - its what you will learn from thinking, believing and knowing that.

kind regards
