The Mysterious statement

[10:39] He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. RSV

Seems pretty clear to me...

!Fluffy!

Lacking Common Sense
Blessed is the man who does not loose his soul for my sake
Jesus the Christ
Matthew ten
Explain?

This quote of yours is confusing. The KJV says:
39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

NIV:
39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Young's Literal Translation:
39`He who found his life shall lose it, and he who lost his life for my sake shall find it.

and the rest are quite similar tho nothing like yours that I could find!

Finding life can be said to mean the stripping down of our false identity, which is our egotistical and self-centered natures that are inherent in most every human being. To a man, this is losing his life, which is actually nothing more than losing the very thing that was false and illusiory to begin with.

In this instance Jesus is speaking of the worlds' perception regarding the nature of "life" and what one must do to find the true life, which is found in following the Spirit within, which is the Holy Spirit within every believer. The man will no longer look upon things of the world as his ultimate satisfaction, but will in all things look to honor and glorify God through Jesus Christ, His Anointed. To the world, he is losing his life. But to him, he is finding the very thing that sustains life itself.

It is well that you understand it thus- to whom much is given much is required- to those who have wrestled the gnosos from those who have forcefully layed hold of it
For all the Prophets prophesied until John
came as a messenger (MALACH) - as the face of GOD

Did not John The Baptist lose his head because of his believe and words- why would Jesus not know the same end awaited him

Jesus did not lose his head.... but if you mean did Jesus know he would die then, yes, he certainly did.

Thanks for asking.

He that finds his soul(or life) will lose it, and he that loses his soul for my sake will find it.matthew 10;39NWT

(Matthew 16:25) For whoever wants to save his soul will lose it; but whoever loses his soul for my sake will find it.

(Mark 8:35) For whoever wants to save his soul will lose it; but whoever loses his soul for the sake of me and the good news will save it.

(Luke 17:33) Whoever seeks to keep his soul safe for himself will lose it, but whoever loses it will preserve it alive.

(John 12:25) He that is fond of his soul destroys it, but he that hates his soul in this world will safeguard it for everlasting life.

If you live by Mammon and Maya, then you will gain wealth, yet lose the soul.....
There is no God of the dead, there is a God of the living......So if you die and served Oneness, eternal life is granted....
