Why do you find it it easy believing spiritual things that can't be proven? For me, the existence of infinite space is so amazing and out of this world that it's mere existence almost beckons that one believes in fairytales. haha. Wow! How awesome is infinite space? Unreal!

For me it starts with paranormal phenomena that can be experienced if not proven. Any platform that supports these things occurring must be magical in a figurative way.

Can infinite space be “proven?”

Sure, there are many possibilities with space, infinite or otherwise, and we humans do have active imaginations. I don't say I actually believe in things that can't be proven, although I might imagine them or even hope that they exist. But I also accept that just because I might imagine or hope for something, that doesn't make it true.

People have spiritual experiences of reality, by which I mean a sense of mystery, awe, gratitude, and connection to the world. That's seems to be what you are describing. The reason you're not a theist is likely that you don't interpret that experience in terms of deities, which seems to be the natural human proclivity, especially with much of the world exhorting one to think that way. Others having the same experience will say that they sensed God, and believe that they have sufficient evidence to justify that belief. Atheists who have spiritual experiences haven't interpreted them that way, and thus don't deflect their reverence of nature toward a deity distinct from nature.

Consider Einstein, who actually used the phrase "the dear Lord" to describe this intuition, but apparently resisted actually conceiving of a personal deity. I liken it to references to Mother Nature, an anthropomorphism not meant literally.

I don't see much harm there unless it leads to bad religion. Once people get it into their heads that this intuition is of a real "person" in charge who want things from them and gives them commands, they can be manipulated, as when people give all their money to the church or choose to not send their children to college believing this to be God's will because somebody told them it was, and they believed it.

To be fair, I find it easier to believe in infinite space than to believe in an end to the Universe where there is suddenly nothing.
