Post an example of something where you think a remake is better.

I think Tainted Love by Marc Almond is better than the original by Gloria Jones.

The Lion King is basically a rip-off of Kimba the White Lion but TLK seems to have won that battle.

The Maltese Falcon film that everyone loves (the 1941 version with Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor & Peter Lorre) was a remake of a 1931 film.

For me, this is better than the original, but needs a few 'Get offs' and 'Rubbish' - from the audience at the end to make it complete:

Star Trek's Klingons nowadays look better than the original version of the Klingons.
"Now they look like heavy metal rockers from the dead..." (from Aurelio Voltaire's "The U.S.S. Make-Sh*t-Up"

(The song was written with love -- goth artist/writer/musician Aurelio Voltaire is actually a huge Star Trek fan.)

Bob Dylan fans might disagree, and one might have to be an avid fan of The Nice to like this though:

From what I can recall, they sounded just the same in concert here in the UK too.

I much prefer this piano transcription to the original orchestral version.
(But only when Francesco Piemontesi plays it.)
