As I said in another thread a few days ago, both the Queen and Camilla are taking this as a 'slur' on the monarchy and meddlesome intervention by trouble makers.
It is no such thing; it is merely a demonstration that the Queen and Prince Charles cannot circumvent legislation passed -in name- by the queen herself.
What is incredible that, as I write this, The news has just broken that the Queen has just anounced that she will NOT attend the registry office(Civil ceremony), but will attend the blessing at St George's Castle in Windsor. The queens advisors, when interviewed, hesitated before answering that she was not merely trying to 'snub' the couple.
The conclusion by the media is that the announcement of the wedding was untimely, unprepared, and was going to cause rifts within previous supporters of the monarchy.:)
