Yes. The US is below average in all the metrics of freedom, prosperity, or happiness, compared to other developed countries.
We're not the freeest, post prosperous, most opportunistic, or happiest country. We're not the best country in the world. We have no cause for pride or patriotism.
Neoliberal capitalism benefits only a small cohort.
