The Plan aka Fate aka Predestination

"The Plan is not one rigid path, there are a variety of multitudes within it. Our Paths have variance, but we'll end up adhering to it, whether we like it or not.

Some choices make the path smoother, some rougher, you can even go outside the lines, but the further outside you go....

It's like an unbreakable elastic band - It will only stretch so far before it snaps back. The further it is stretched, the more violent the eventual correction. "

I was predestined not to make a comment... BUT WAIT... was that a COMMENT?

I was predestined to wonder if my written statement of "I was predestined not to make a comment... BUT WAIT... was that a COMMENT?" qualified as predestination.

BUT WAIT... was that PREDESTINED?

I was predestined to wonder if my thatI thought that "I was predestined to wonder if my written statement of "I was predestined not to make a comment... BUT WAIT... was that a COMMENT?" qualified as predestination".

I am snapped back to no predestination other than there is a place that God wants you at but you are free to get off at any time.

At any point you can listen to G-od's P-ositioning S-erivce, IMO, that is saying "Please make a U-turn and your earliest convenience... and the earlier the better".

His last God Positioning Service will say, "ROAD ENDS... DANGER... DON'T GO THERE... STOP..." but we are still free to drive off the cliff.

Ah, Predestination. That which negates the entire point of everything. Why bother?

I don't necessarily buy into predestination as a divine plan, but I do think it's possible that if we take the perspective of hard determinism, that everything is following a pattern that, given all the information on the Universe and the ability to process it, everything could be considered predetermined.

If we assume this to be true, it is irrelevant to the individual because that individual is an observer and participates in the freedom of the journey. This participation become a part of them, a Self built from the environment and is experienced as growth.

As it says, it's not a rigid path. There is variance and choice within it. But we are all proceeding along a path in which all we are is the observer of "what is".

I don't follow the thought of pre-destination but respect the people that do.
