The Positive Thread

We see so much negativity in debates and heated arguments. Time for some positivity. Please make a statement or statements and always make sure to follow them up with the :) smiley. :)

Anyone who doesn't remain positive will be slapped upside their head. Positivity is a must. :)

I like this forum. You are all nice people. Each and every one of you without exception. :)

@Revoltingest never posts here. He should be more active and entertain us with his bacon jokes. :)

I utterly suck at lying. :)

Keep going. :)

I'm not inclined to be positive.
I like carping, harping, exclaiming, complaining, whining, retching, kvetching,
railing, roiling, fulminating, inflamating, yelling, opposing, exposing, screaming,
capitalizing, demonizing, Simonizing, bowdlerizing, barking, snarking, grousing,
& generally rabble rousing.
But it's so nice to have a venue where I can get away with so very much of it!
And my dear fellow posters cooperate by egging me on, & responding in kind.

So you're saying you don't want to appear positive in this thread by using a smiley regardless of what you say? Missing such an opportunity is the dumbest crap I've seen in a while. :)

Thanks for your input. :)

I have a thing against smilies.
You'll have to sense the positiveness by reading between the lines.

I can understand that :) want to talk about it?
I have 3 reasons for not using them.....
1) I never learned how.
2) It seems a crutch....avoiding nuance in language.
(Note this is not to criticize those who use them. It's a personal prejudice.)
3) It has become a signature trait for me.

This plus I want to be so crotchety as I get older that my family will be glad to see me go. Also, if he's not gonna :) then I'm not gonna :). So there.

My own father was such a magninimous guy.
He managed to wreck our relationships to the extent that we were glad to see the old ******* ****** eat'n ***************** go.
We were spared any sadness.

There is a sci-fi board game out there, can't remember the name of it, where the dock station computer penalizes people financially who it perceives are not happy. So be happy or get fined! :)

Out in the shed I have a Lionel train set.
My only grandfather gave it to me on my fourth Christmas.
Did I mention that I have 16 cars and 2 engines, that still smoke.
I'd like to give it to my sons, but they'd fight over it.
We'll find out then, hey Thief, wishful thinking there.

But the thought of him is still delightful to the mind, I miss him still.

But that's mostly a good thought isn't it ?
