The Protestant Bible is flawed

That's almost completely correct. :) I would only add that the Lutheran church also questions the canonicity of seven New Testament books, which they refer to as the Antilegomina (or "disputed books"). These questioned books include: James, Jude, 2 Peter, 2 & 3 John, Hebrews, and Revelation.
That was more Luther as no Lutheran synod that I am aware of teaches that.

BTW, I grew up in an ALC synod [now part of the ELCA synod after merger], and I left it in my mid-20's because of the anti-science positions and also some serious problems with racism that included plenty of anti-Semitism, btw. But that was back around 1970, and I know that synod has made some changes away from these problems.

I used to be associated with the Lutheran Church, and I never heard of any disputes regarding these books.

I agree that the idea of setting aside the antilegomena has been largely put on the back burner. Nevertheless, this Missouri Synod website still makes the distinction:

"Lutherans in Am. followed Luther and held that the distinction bet. homologoumena and antilegomena must not be suppressed. But caution must be exercised not to exaggerate the distinction."

Jesus in me
With the exception of the Apocrypha, which he inserted between the two testaments, he kept the same books as the Catholic Church did. Most Protestant editors removed the Apocrypha later.

I have read some of the Apocrypha but I believe it was a waste of time.

Why? Even though it's not part of the canon, some of it can shed some light on what were some of the beliefs during that time period or shortly thereafter. With myself, I'd rather have too much to "chew" on than not enough.
