My niece did calm down some. She at least went to the halfway house, but not before trying to lash out at my nephew's girlfriend. She's been with my nephew for over a year now, and takes only her prescribed psych meds, but according to my niece she's a dick jumping, pill popping junkie who's on the verge of ending up the same position my niece is in. And my niece keeps wanting to call her "little girl," even though there's only two years difference between the two and both are of legal adult age.
But, I'm pretty happy because for at least the next five months I don't have to even hear my niece's ****ty attitude (it started way before she had drug problems).

And my brother was popped today. He hasn't been calling to check in for probation, so they showed up at his house and found paraphernalia just laying out in the open.

Overwhelmingly, for the most part, I am pretty sure almost nearly everyone, they hear of my plans to leave the only responses tend to be "it's so expensive there" and "it's so hard there." Sure it is more expensive, but there's about $5,000/year worth of expenses I'm overlooked that needs to be added to my already higherly-overestimated "budget of necessities," as long as I can full-time white-collar level work then I should be slightly better off than I am here after considering "over there" has way higher wages and salaries. When you add in health insurance that covers trans-related treatments and procedures, I'll be coming out even better. And this "50-20-30" index thingy a lot of sites have to look at how expensive a place is, who needs 20 grand a year for "discretionary spending?" Does the organization that put that together assume people just eat out and go to the movies all the time?

In a few days if I continue to not get bit, and do not see any bed begs, I'm declaring my bedroom bedbug free and the biggest part of the war over!
The next part of going through all my stuff that is boxed/bagged and checking it all for bedbugs. It is mostly books, so hopefully it won't take too long.
