Tomorrow is the day. I'm very anxious and nervous about it. And not too mention I'm going to have to get up early, early. Which sucks, because the more I tried to get into that habit before today, the longer I stayed up. I am a night owl though. And going into people's homes

And fate has smiled upon me, not because of this job, but because because A Perfect Circle and Tool are both playing at the same concert. For me, those two bands alone--who have the same singer who is wonderful singer, lyrically "out there," and deliciously blasphemous--it's as though Apollo himself has smiled upon us and blessed us with a most cherishable and delightful gift.
Even if it's a larp weekend, I'm going to have to go to the concert. I'll have to be late on Friday with work, so depending on the schedule I may just be going the two days, which *shouldn't* be a bad thing, so long as those two are playing on those two days.
But, those tons of people, oh muh god.

Tomorrow needs to hurry up so I can get this over with. When it comes to things that actually impact and influence my life, I don't like not knowing. And right now, there is mounds and mountains and heaping piles of things I do not know. I've also never had the balance of power so heavily tilted in my direction.
But, it's what I've been training and preparing for. In many different ways and areas. With schooling probably having been the least contributor, and, really, it's been more of very expensive key (I probably won't even actually be paying that much of it back because of the forgiveness allowed for such public services), with being a reader and being a nerd being so way much higher up on this list.
But, it's just another role, another mask. One of the many performances I've given over the years, just a different role, in a different scene.

My wife's first attempt at a "protein drink" was, shall we say, less than perfectly successful. Partly it's the powder. But the next one will no doubt be better. It's hard because what the internet has is recipes for guys trying to bulk up not for women who has a problem with dairy and consequently does not get enough protein.

In USA we have tons of statistics, since Statistics began here right along with PB&J sandwiches. Here is a list of probable causes of death in the USA from an institution called the National Safety Council: Injury Facts Chart As you can see, a lightning strike is not actually a 1 in a million chance and is about 10 times more likely, but it is still the least likely and most exciting way to die on the list. Unfortunately they have neglected to break this down into white and black lightning strikes. It doesn't settle the question of which color is struck more times by lightning per year.

There is a house near me that put up its Christmas decoration and in the front yard they have 2, old school, light up plastic snowmen standing next to an newer blowup, light up elf. At night it is a cute display...... during the day....every day...the way the elf deflates.... it looks like two smiling snowmen standing there smiling....... next to the dead body of the elf...laying on the ground..
