I knew she wasn't going to make it to the visit tonight. I realized the inevitably, and told the kids it's time to go because I have to call it, citing that we "all have rules we have to follow." So before I had to announce I prepared by totally shutting the emotional valve off. I probably could have been more emotionally sensitive, and more supportive of them, but then there would be emotional attachment issues to be dealt with. And the three year old was reminding me of why I don't have or want kids, even before this happened as we drove to the visit.

Since coming to RF I have read some rather interesting things, some informative things, some maddening things and occasionally some things that are just nuts.....just read one of those that is just plain nuts......thought about responding to try and see why someone woujld say something so very nutty...with conviction.....without any thing to back the statement up other than fear and bigotry.....but then I thought....their nuts.....no use in trying...can't argue with nuts...can't expect logic to win the day with nuts either.......only thing left to with someone who is nuts is.....to....loose the squirrels

I went to do a chart review of a new kid client I have, and as soon as I click on his name an alert pops up saying not to prescribe him stimulants because his mom has a history of selling them. I don't think reading anything else has ever made me so audibly groan.

Some of the stuff I dealt with, years ago, in my job as security at 2 hospitals had the same effect and more..... I feel your pain
