Some things are easy to do once you see the instructions. Once I realized I had to unsnap a cover at the end of the wiper blade arm to change a wiper blade, the deed was immediately accomplished.

On the latest set, I didn't realize there was a plastic guard on the blades themselves that had to be removed...

Once I realized that, I had to think about it for a minute...how durable can a rubber wiper blade be if it has to be protected inside the package...???

A gold star for you. I did not really notice the guard until I saw your post and went to look. I had been totally focused on following the directions and nowhere was that stupid plastic piece noted.
