Wrongo pongo!
We had guo tie (fried), not jiaozi (steamed).
No restaurant fare has ever compared with Mrs Revolt's quo tie & cong you bing.
West lake soup at some restaurants is just as good though.

Don't care.... You're despicable....

Mrs Wu does not make scallion pancakes, even though I like them. She does make darn good steamed and fried dumplings better than any restaurant. There is a pancake she does make, but it is more like a crepe, don't know the Chinese name, I just call it a Chinese Crepe, never seen it in a restaurant.... could be a Northern or a Beijing thing

We do not generally eat West lake soup, unless it is in a restaurant, and even then that is rare. But we do eat, and she does make, some real good bean congee

How about baozi?
We had homemade ones the other day.
And tomorrow we're off to a restaurant for dian xian (dim sum to most people).
(I am surely over-eating well this holiday.)

Yup, she makes Baozi, makes some great red bean baozi. No dim sum tomorrow, no good dim sum near here, have to go to Boston or NYC for that. Then it is an over eating extravaganza

It's been awhile since I've seen my youngest nephew. It's weird, a bit, as hes now old enough to be taking an interest in women, voice this, and say Rose Tyler (Dr Who for the [wrong thread] losing non-Whovians:p) is hot, and saying her mom, Jackie, is a milf. He is definitely a teen boy now.

Andrew is in the middle. I'm the tall one. My partner Doug is on the left.

It was really fun Christmas Eve party. We were a little tipsy by the time this lousy pic was taken.
