drives people nuts when you don't tell them what they want to know ;)
Reminds me of the last time I worked fast food. Someone pulls up to the speaker:
I want uhhhhh.......give me a uhhhhh..........I'll take a uhhhhhhhhh..........you have uhhhhhhhhh...........I think I want uhhhhhh.................do you have uhhhhh..................uhhhhh-uhhhhhhh-uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............I'll have a water.

And I figured out the cryptocurrency thingy. I'm playing online poker for money, and not against players overwhelmingly with skills that equate to a tee ball team of quadriplegics.
I'm up $9 so far.

Just been to the hospital with hubby for a yearly follow up scan following his op. I nearly fell off rhe chair laughing when the very helpful receptionist who was practicing her english on us asked Paul for his pisspot

"No, it's pronounced pass-port a pisspot is something you urinate in"

I am not sure if it was kinder to tell her or let her mistake ride

I guess some of those customers can be aggravating. I got stuck behind someone at a drive-thru who kept asking question after question. They took more than ten minutes at the speaker to order their food.

Then there's the plight of the guy in this little comedy bit:

When I was still in high school, sometimes we'd be cruising around and just mess around at the drive-thru. Like going to McDonald's and trying to order a pizza. Or saying we want "two large, three medium, and one small" but not telling them what.

Sound like a french supermarket checkout line. For some reason everyone wants to know how the assistant prepares her cabbage or for how long she roasts her beef.

Looking at answers when I wonder what makes people thinking gambling is wrong and immoral, and upon finding reasons I'm glad I'm doing it. Especially after seeing the remark that it "denies the pleasures and pride of work."
I'm pretty sure that's actually called "jealousy" over someone founding an easier way and took it.

To tackle a tough subject, I think people look at gambling in much the same way people look at left-hand path faiths. If I've ever had a knee jerk reaction to it though, it's just because of my Christian upbringing.

I'm also glad I got the Texas Hold 'em for Dummies book, because not only is filling in my gaps of basic knowledge, had I had this book before my first casino trip I may have been less of a dummy at it. But I'll definitely know better how to conduct myself at a casino next time (didn't anticipate that being a part of the learning curve).

I see a lot of "addictive" and "putting money on the line for chance" and "ruins lives" and other stuff and wordings that do make me strongly agree on the Christian upbringing part and being uptight and strongly against fleshly and worldly desires and being very concerned about what other people are doing in their lives. And when you consider the thousands of years that Christians have been falsely and wrongly speculating about intents and purposes, I am not at all surprised to find this big moral problem with something that an occasional and responsible splurge is nothing of a moral consideration and while those like me are just steering our own lives, away from a life of Genesis toiling and sweating and hard work to make it in life.
I'm going to learn this game, and I'm going to become of those table sharks who just sits at a table all day and sees somebody's stack and says "mine." (and I'm closer to this today than I was yesterday)
