I read a few critic reviews of the first X Files movie. One of these critics actually complained that it drew too heavily from the TV show's main story arc, and that you wouldn't fully understand what's going on unless your a fan of the series. Myself, I love the fact it feels like a two hour long episode, that it fits in perfectly with the show, and that it draws heavily from the main arc.

Then again, I've handled a lot of 140°F summer days, so I suppose that offsets my relative sensitivity to cold weather. :D
We haven't consistently had days over 100 in years. We might get one or two days like that anymore, maybe a few in a row if a heat wave is happening. We regularly have humidity up in the 80s, which makes the heat even worse. But at least it doesn't feel like you're trying to breathe in front of an oven like it does with high heat and no humidity. But 140 would be miserable for me. At least I can keep warm outside in -30F wind chills. I couldn't take off enough layers at 140, and I might actually for once really want air conditioning.

Well, I'd almost always wear black or a dark color on most of those summer days because I usually wear dark clothes. You can imagine the amount of heat I'd absorb on most of those days, especially during midday.

In cold weather you can put on more layers of clothing to stay warm (although, to be fair, I have no idea how many layers of clothing I'd need in -30°F weather), but when it's 140°F outside and you have to walk during midday... yeah, not even walking naked could help with that. :p

My 20th birthday is less than two months away. It feels weird to read the posts I made when I was barely 16 when I first registered here nearly four years ago.

I love how the Internet gives you the chance to look at your former self by reading stuff you said years ago. :D

haha that's so true. There is a site I belonged to that I no longer post on, from a few years ago, and one day I decided to pop on there and see what's up. And I was reading this old thread, and saw my comments and thought...wow, did I really think like that? (I was a Christian then, so my perspective was so different) Happy early birthday. :D

I have a leather trench coat. Wearing that with a medium jacket will me feeling warmth on the my body even during the coldest night's we've had here.
yeah, not even walking naked could help with that. :p
If I tried to walk around naked under your sun I think my skin might just actually turn into abit of a charred black considering what an American Midwest sun has done to me.

Try sticking around for a few more years and then see what happens.

:p That's our thermostat setting. To stay nice and toasty. lol

Once upon a time, we had this temperature:
10527823_679644055457694_8825031854727174270_n.jpg

(below the speedo) it says 49C.

That, ma'am, in F (with applying error margin) is... ready to be shocked? is a hair above 115F :)

I can't wait for school to start back up, but I don't want to go to school. At least Mondays and Wednesdays I'll on be there, at most when I work, 9 hours rather than 9 being a short day, and only 1 1/4 hours when I don't work, 8 hours on Tuesday, and at most 9 on Thursday. There shouldn't be any 10-12 hour days for me this semester, and no having to go to bed a couple hours after I get home to get up early to do it all over again.

I need 10 more posts (9 more now) to hit the 20,000 mark. At about 5.5 half posts a day, you'd think I actually had a life.

It was 70 degrees yesterday where I live. If you don't like cold weather, maybe you should consider moving to Southern California. The trouble is that you pay for all that sunshine with higher prices on everything.
