I have. And even with having it disabled while typing if my thumb twitches it counts it as a button click which has caused me a lot of problems. My network card will either struggle to get connected (which is a real pain at school because it can take up to 15-20 minutes before it connects) or it completely drops the connection after awhile (which is a pain if you just finished filling out a lengthy online form and then have to do it again).There is an adjustment for mousepad sensitivity. Open the control panel. In the search field in the upper right type in the word "mouse". You should see a menu with "mouse" at the top or perhaps "mousepad". Click on that and you should see options to set sensitivity.
As for Asus, I haven't heard that many good things about them.
