This time I have something which really will make you feel better....
I think I'm coming down with something.
It feels like I have a mild case of the flu....just sore, tired & (rarity or rarities) I"m not hungry.

illykitty, I've never see those two side-by-side before. My only objection is to the last Huxley quote - because I would call that kind of love he spoke of as the lowest form of love. Higher forms of love rescue people from lower forms.

And it's raining a bit out here in Northern California. Not enough to do anything about the drought. It is a welcome respite and that's not bad.

Oh of course, it's a materialistic form of love... Like saying you love to watch TV. Too much of it isn't good. I think that's what it meant.

I don't think the person implied that loving each other is wrong. :) This kind of love is what could save us.

My wife has decided that she now wants the wedding we never had (we were hitched at the county courthouse 20 years ago), and the small and fairly informal affair we had originally discussed is quickly becoming something else entirely.

A friend is providing the chuppah, I'm picking out the rings and kippot for the guests, and she's deciding everything else.
