Do you have any knowledge of a covid test marked "Acon" . It was given to me from my pharmacy. Also identified as 'Flowflex'..
I subscribe to consumerlab.com which is a science-based business that tests a lot of OTC products and reports research studies. They ranked Flowflex highly.

I'm waiting for better batteries. Lithium Ion is better than NiCad, but that isn't saying much.

If you really want electric vehicles then string up the power lines and get the trolleys running again, and then trucks and other vehicles can use the power from those. If we aren't willing to string up those lines, then we will continue to wait for better batteries.

I suppose there are safer options such as magnetic charging pads built into the ground, but we already have a technology that is proven to work on trolleys and which could be made to work on interstates and highways.

EV tech is following the pattern of all successful tech. A few adopt it and put up with "get a horse". Then more adopt it and what they're adopting is better. Then at some point it becomes 'in' and people rush to it to avoid being left out. Then those who refuse are thought odd.

I had one of the earliest PCs, an IMSAI 8080, that I soldered together. I had to upgrade memory to 8k because the BASIC I had on paper tape took 5 k of memory and that upgrade was ever so expensive. Programs were saved to regular audio tape. In that era my arms were as long as my legs and I muttered a nerdy ook ook a lot.

Each car is guaranteed to need new batteries every 2 years, but most people will wait for 5 enduring reduced performance for three years. At that time they'll be paying a lot for new batteries, assuming they can still get some. Many cars will be restricted to dealership only agreements. They won't be allowed to take their cars to anyone else.

My major issues with electric cars is lack of charging stations (fewer yet if you have a Tesla), recharge time once you get it plugged in, and range. In that order. Range would be nothing if charge times were shorter and charging stations were more prevalent.

There is something else to consider, Electric vehicles are heavier than Internal Combustion vehicles

`They ought to be charging while they are driving either from electrical cables or magnetic chargers in the ground. As it is they must charge while sitting still. what they need is a way to charge while driving down long stretches of interstate highway like trolleys with batteries.

What if I needed to drive from Vermont to California and back each week? I'd cut through that 100,000 limit in less than half a year!
